Does he like me or just being nice?

Theres this guy and a lot of people tell me that because of the way he acts around me and towards me, that he likes me. They tell me that whenever im not looking at him hes always looking at me. Well I can kinda believe this becasue I've caught him looking at me before. Sometimes when I catch him looking hell turn away real fast and then there has been other times where he just keeps staring me in my eyes (I guess to see what I will do) Im not sure. and I tell them that it could mean anything not only that he likes me. also when he comes around me he acts nervous and shy hes always fidgiting with something. sometimes we talk and its like he dont know what to say so hell just make up something, like one day he asked me could he borrow 50 dollars. he jumps out and scares me all the time. he tries to make me laugh a lot by doing crazy things like dancing. I dont really know if this means he likes me or if hes just trying 2 be nice but I just want to ask yalls opinion on it. So do you think that he likes me or is he just tring to be nice?
