Why do we have to learn history

why do we have to learn history

So we don't repeat it.

ummm dont you want to be educated and know what our ansesters have been through. I guess thats the normal little highschool or middleschool kid question .

when am I ever gonna use this???

you have to do it in school, nothing you can do to change that so no need to complain.

I don't know but was always told 'so we can prepare for the future'? which doesn't make ANY sense

History tells us about whats happened.
U'd look like a dumbass if you dont know anything about your country or its presidents or about the history about the world.Ignorant,really.

my GCSE History teacher always told us it useful for pub quizzes, but History teaches us lots of things, about the economy etc.
It teaches us not to take what we have for granted, and it allows us to learn from the mistakes of the past.
Personally I mostly find it fascinating.
