High school drop out

What's the first word or image that comes to your mind when you hear the word drop out...

why does everyone think of drop outs as mcdonalds or failures? we dont all work at McDonalds and are failures.. honestly I hated school.. I loved hanging out with all the people, but the classes were so boring... I dropped out and now I am an Executive Assistant and I make a lot.. (A LOT) of money! almost twice the amount my brother makes and he has a degree in Political Science from CU (he works for pepsi as a sales rep who stalks the shelves of grocery stores) or my cousin who has a business degree from Denver U (manager of a TGIF). both of my parents... my mom who is retired at age 43 never graduated High school, and my father is a extremely wealthy and owns a couple gas stations and most of an oil company. what do you do? colorfuldollface? pinkbull6?

me... and by the way I earn about $100,000 a year. I recently baught my first home. I drive a new car and I am not in debt at all.. my credit score is over 700... it doesnt matter if you drop out or not.

I made it through school fine, and I'm nearly done with college. But if you have the mindset and the motivation, you can do great things without school. I was homeschooled through my highschool years, 8 through 12, so I didn't have much of a choice...but yeah..

I don't think less of anyone who drops out, but I prefer if they keep on chuggin.

its ok if your a college dropout...but you at least need high school education...if you find highschool THAT tuff then you r too stupid to do well at anything anyways

Me, it wasnt by choice, school just didnt work for me, I've learnt so much more since I left.

I know people who have dropped out of school are VERY successful.
I've dropped out am now pursuing a career in Make up artisty. =]

I know things are different in the US but in my part of the world you are basically a retarded failure if you drop out of high school

How about those of us who didnt choose to drop out but rather had to because we didnt have enough money/time to spend at school. I was living in my car and working two jobs.. I dropped out because I couldn't afford it. im smart as hell, I turned around the next week got my GED scoring 98 out of 100 and joined the Navy... like I said before, now I make a lot of money and am highly successful.

a careless person or someone who just felt that they didnt need to graduate highschool whateverr you do its your choice just because you drop out doesnt mean your a failure you couldd always succeed in other things and do something different not everyone has to go to college.
it doesnt matter what anyone says its your life! and they should remember that when they talkk about it.
