How to find a release for my feelings?

Well recently I have been diagnosed with depression, and I have been given medication to take daily, however I haven't been taking them because I feel as if I will no longer be in control of my life. But because my family think I am actually taking them, I have to hide my true feelings behind and 'happy' facade, and act as if everything is fine. This just seems to be making me feel more and more depressed and low inside...as the more I hide my emotions the more im crumbling inside.
So basically my questio is, how do I show my true emotions without worrying about hurting or upsetting others...as all I want is for everyone to be happy.
I dont know how much more I can take, but then again I dont think I can allow people to know my feelings...
Any advice would be much appreciated...
Thanks...

FACT: The medication will put you back 'IN CONTROL' ! - if you want to get better, you must take it - don't stay in denial and live a lie - you can do this !!...I wish you the best !!

it's up to you wether you take your med's or not, but they are not as scary as they seem.
I was scared I'd be drugged up or on a high.
but that's not true.
either tell your dr you don't want any drugs or give them a trail and see how you go.
they will start you off on the lowest dose, so you wont be affected a great deal anyway.
