What if he's bad but I like him anyway?

okay so it was two years ago when I met this guy. right away we just clicked. I knew it was love at first sight. he was like a legend at our school. everybody knew him as the bad a**. and I dont know why but I loved that about him. during the school year we became closer and closer. and we both really really liked eachother but we never told anyone.I told my best friend about him and she was so schocked because she heard that all he does is hooks up with girls then dumps them,smokes pot, and drinks. I got really upset so I confronted him about it. he does smoke and drink (which im making him quit doing) but he told me that I was more than just a hump then dump. when summer came around a new guy showed up. he was amazingly hott and he began to like me. I was still in love with the first guy though. when the second guy asked me out I said yes right away because the first guy was mad at me for 'likeing' this new guy. so during the summer me and the first guy grew apart. this broke my heart so much. so I had to dump my boyfriend. when summer ended and school started again it was so ackward between me and my first love. but just seeing him again brought back so many memories and I decided that I was still crazy and in love with him. the second week of school we got better and better each day. and now in the first month of school we are back to the way we were. and I wouldnt have it any other way. but theres just one problem my best friend hates him.and I feel so bad about it. but ill fix things between them. and another thing is, is that he keeps messing with me. like the other night he told me to go to a football game. and I went and he ignored me the whole time. and when ever I would say hi to him he would walk right past me to talk to another girl. its all fixed now.but im tired of these little fights that we always get into. but I dont want to let him go cause I really really really like him and he makes me feel so special.(even though hes kinda like a drugie) but we have a bet right now. he cant do any drugs this whole month in order to prove he honestly likes me and would do anything for me. is he the right one?

First of all, there is no such thing as love at first sight. LUST, yes, definitely. Love is something that grow continuously throughout a serious relationship, it doesn't just appear out of nowhere. I know you're really drawn to him, but believe me.. you do NOT want to date the 'bad guy' it leads to sooo many problems down the road.. I personally don't believe he is the one for you. Find someone else. Don't get involved with someone with a drug problem, please trust me on that one.

You can only have one true love for your entire life. that's just what I think.
And as for what Sarahhh said, I don't know that you can't fall in love at first sight.
I think you can. But then, I can't say for SURE that you can. It hasn't happened for me . . .
