Really big research project

So I have this really big research project coming up. We have to go in front of the class and read our persuasive essays. Tomorrow I'm supposed to pick a topic but I don't really know what topic I want. It has to be like a controversial pro/con topic...

that can easily be found with 25-30 facts on and from 10 different sources max. I talked to my sister about this project because she's also done it. She told me she did global warming and it was hard for her. She also told me to pick a topic that I feel strong about. I was thinking of- homosexuality; whether it's genetic or not.
But I'm not too strong about it. I mean, I can't think of a topic that I'm strong about and would be easy for me to persuade.
Any ideas? What would be a few topics that you'd go for?

think of the war, the new president, or somthing about polotics. that is a huge topic with many things you could talk about. it also has many resources. news papers and magazines talk about teh president and the war in iraq all the time.

I would do gay marriage(im not gay) but I think christians are not the person to be judging who should marry and who shouldn't
if god thought that gays where right and to be straight was wrong the people who are straight would still want to marry.

I had a similar project.. I did it on schools selling/giving out birth control. like a middle school in Maine who gave it out because a lot of their students were getting pregnant. I didn't need as many facts or sources as you do though.. so it may be difficult.
