How can I lose about 14 lbs?

Hey guys, I’m 14, 5’8” and 138 lbs, my BMI is 21 but I wanna loose about 14lbs. My mum is a complete control freak soI have very little say in what I eat for dinner, but I control my own brekfast and lunch. School starts in 3 weeks and I’d like to loose the weight by then. Is this possible? If so please tell me!!

Hi,

The way to lose weight is through healthy diet and exercise. Eat 4-6 SMALL meals a day, consisting of lean meats, whole-grain starches, fruits and vegetables. Set up your plate so 1/4 is meat, 1/4 is starch, 1/2 is fruit and veggies, and there is minimal fat.

If you do this as well as drink 8 glasses of water a day and exercise for 30 min a day a few times a week, you will see healthy results.

Make sure your cutting out sweets, and soda. How much you eat is also important, a serving size is almost on everything we eat now, so check out what a portion is for what your eatting. A portion of meat is 3 oz., take skin off meats like chicken or turkey. Drinks lots of water and really walking everyday will help you alot!

you are pretty light for your height. i have the exact height and weight and the only problem with me is reducing fat. ok a few tips.

  • snack on healthy things like a salad or carrots and drink a lot of water.. sometimes thirst leads you to believe you’re hungry and you could chew someting like gum. . . sure it has a bit of calories, but it’ll keep you from eating

I’m 14 ,5’6 and i weight 124 and every inch you add like 5 lbs.

It is possible just excersise more.

First of all you don’t really need to lose weight! Your under the average BMI already! But it’s your decision so here’s how I lost some weight: Walk a mile a day, Which just means walk your dog if you have one or walk to a friends house instead of getting drove there! Eat 5 meals a day, small portions! Healthy as well! If you have a sweet tooth then balance something out such as every mile you walk you can have a piece of chocolate or something! Lastly set yourself a goal, like lose 5 pounds in the 6 weeks or something similar!
