How do you do an ollie?

cool Asked by iheartmusic over 2 years ago, 2 answers.

ok I've been trying to master an ollie for a while and im having no progress. everytime I do it I do the same thing because I cant figure out what im doing wrong. well when you go to pop the tail is that the only thing you do (just extend your back leg?)...

or do you need to jump off of your back leg? so basically I cant get the trick down in one movement thats my problem.. I try it on the carpet most of the time but when I do it on the street or my patio outback I realize how wobbly my trucks feel when im on the board, but their actually really tight when I am holding the board and feeling how tight they are..is this because my bearings make the wheels go really smooth..? so what I want to know is: tips for doing ollies and whether or not I just extend my back leg or I jump, and why my board is so wobbly only when im riding it

Well, it's pretty complicated. You can't just learn it like that! But, my friend here is an expert ollier. Okay, first you get some speed up, then make sure your feet are in the right pos.
( One just on the edge of the tail, one on the first truck.) Next, you pop the back foot ( On tail still) down so the nose pops up. As you are doing so, kick out the front foot so it slides up the griptape, do it quickly, or expect to get cedit-carded! Now, you've mastered the ollie!
