I have a problem, for some reason when I sleep at night I drool a lot. more than any normal person. I'll wake up and my pillow will be soaked with drool, its kinda nasty. when I have girls with me they just wipe it off on me, lol, but its still sick. and plus my drool stains my pillow. it seriously looks like I had sex with my pillow, and I know its just drool, but I had a friend over the other day and he saw it, I could only imagine what he was thinin. but anyway, does anyone know a way or have a trick to stop drooling when I sleep

I've had plenty of nights where I've drooled in my sleep. For me personally when I narrow those nights down, the previous day before I really was busy and pooped myself out. When I sleep very hard I tend to drool almost every time, I also find that I'll snore and have my mouth wide open on those nights too. If this could be the culprit, maybe take it easy and rest more or try and set a routine to where you can get a better night's sleep. If this isn't sounding like it may be the problem, maybe try using a mouth guard at night to keep your mouth closed at night, because it very may well be that you just sleep with your mouth open all the time. If you are having any other problems sleeping during the night, such as waking up constantly throughout the night or feeling as you are never getting a restful sleep you sould check in with your doctor (may be sleep apnea or some other problem). Hope this helps!

Drooling in sleep may occur for many reasons including posture, illness and dental issues. Most symptoms of drooling can be controlled with minor treatment or a slight change in sleep or in lifestyle habits. When sleeping, you salivate less than how you salivate throughout the day but also do not swallow as frequently. The frequency slows at night. Mouth breathers are more prone to drool while asleep. This will also increase the likelihood of snoring and others could also be disturbed. It does not become a severe problem unless it is excessive. Drool while sleeping can disturb you often during the night. Slumbering on a wet pillowcase can be irritating. While asleep, if you feel moisture on your pillowcase, often changing it will help and allow you to fall back asleep more comfortably.

While there is no cure, there are drugs available to help reduce the way you salivate during the night. Cures for ailments that may contribute are also available. It can be uncomfortable and sleeping can be disturbed. After getting drunk, there is a much greater risk for drooling. If you drool during sleep there is no need to worry. This disorder is only inconvenient and does not pose more serious problems.
