Ok so if it's your first time it's a little complicated and might hurt or feel kinda funny. so theres the bigger half(the side w/out the string) and the end w/ the string. the side w/out the string goes in first. Then you push the smaller part so the tampon comes out and ya know. if this is confusing to you it might be best to ask your mom =]

ok, what have you tried?

descriptive version?

using a tampon that have an 'entry tube'

sit on the toilet, (if you have a bath next to it) c0ck one leg up (knee bent) on the side. most of all RELAX! honestly ( it becomes like fort knox otherwise!)...

get you finger, and have a little feel around in that area first, you'll feel your clit, uretha (the bit you pee out of) and slightly further down, and slightly more supple 'gap'.

once you have found this 'gap' insert your finger about 1cm, just to be sure, this depth won't cause any 'finger nail' discomfort., get the tampon, I'd go for the traditional 'tampax' with the cardboard tubule, and slowly insert the main body, holding it dead centre, so that you are in between the inserition and finding point (without pushing on the end).

once you have inserted the tube to your finger tip, you should be able to apply pressure to the end of the tubule, and it should insert. IT WILL feel wierd...and you WILL have a sensation, but it shouldn't be painful.

inserting a tampon when your dry (as in on a very very light flow) will do nothing for your comfort, it should be moist 'down there'.
start of by using the lightest tampon with a panty liner at first, then venture to the inflatable mattress as you go along...

you will feel something when you insert it, but if you can 'feel it' once it's in, then it's a little to further 'down' that it should be, and just needs to be inserted a little further next time.

you really can't insert these too much, the tubule doesn't allow it.

however, when you use a tampon (and it should only be IF you really NEED to) please m,ake sureyou have read the leaflet properly, and are aware of TSS signs, you can be wearing tampons for years (not the same one!) before you can get a reaction, or it can be your first time...

try sticking to toweld most of the time though, your body is trying to expel someting, and tampons don't always allow it...

you'll be fine - biggest tip? RELAX!
