Help... overweight?

im 19 years old 5''5 and I weight 150. I checked my bmi lasnite online after I got a free 7 day pass to a 24hr fitness gym. it says im overweight and that my ideal weight should be 120. I have asked all my friends for their opinion and some of them said...

no and that I just need to lose that tummy fat. I started my diet today. I had a bagel w cream cheese for break fast, chicken salad for lunch and a yogurt and I don't eat after 7pm I also walked 3 miles today. how do I lose at least 20 pounds.. I need some motivation and help please if anyone can help me that will be great I also got a chiwawa and I want to start taking her out for a walk. I have 1 sis and bro they are underweight so they cant really help and my mom love to cook a lot and if she cooks and I don't eat she gets really mad. please help

You're off to a good start, however you should eat after 7 if you haven't had dinner, and also when you are walking is it regular walking or powerwalking? Powerwalking is better. 3 miles is a good start... Keep it up.

you are doing good with the diet but if you jusst need to lose the tummy fat do crunches and sit ups and leg lifts and it will help I promise

I wanna thank everyone for their advice. I basically run and only walk a little when I get tired. I dont know if im killing miself because I woke up this morning at 6 and ran for 30 minutes and im planning on walking 2.5 to 3 miles again this afternoon. it would be so much fun if I can find someone to run or go to the gym with. when you wake up in the morning do you have to eat breakfast first before you work out?

You need to equip yourself with the right info on how your body works.
