I'm a hairstylist, though I don't practice now, here is my advice.
You shouldn't be seeing hair color every time you wash your hair. I would expect maybe one time but it shouldn't be happening.
You can't go to blond unless you bleach your hair, but, I wouldn't advice that. I'm not familiar with that particular product though Loreal is a good brand. I wouldn't expect an inferior product from them.
I would either just let it continue to grow off the red color and then decide what to do or the best thing would be to go to a reputable hairstylist and ask them what to do.
They will be able to see you in person and will know better about how to advise you and they may not even charge you for a consultation.
My mom is a cosmetoligist, and no, hlove, it will always fade out weather you get it professionally done, or you do it urself,
just wash your hair in freezing cold water, thats what I do, it locks the cuticals so it dont come out as much, also use a color protectant shampoo/conditioner, I didnt condition my hair because it seemed to wash out more
hope this helps
Hair Dye 101 - Just for people who don't know...You can't 'dye' your hair blond. Dye is another word for hair color. 'Bleach' is what you use when you're wanting to get it blond, but it may take a few applications if your hair is very dark. After you get the hair as light as you want, then you use the hair 'dye' in the color that you want to achieve.
Again, as I posted before, it would be advisable to go to a reputable hairstylist, preferably one who specializes in hair color and ask them what you should do. You could also go to http://www.clariol.com or http://www.marieclaire.com and post your question there.
Best of luck to you.
