Help me with my scary story!

teacher and we made a Deal. The deal was that he was going to tell me an idea for the scary story but once he said it I HAD to use it. He told me it was a good idea so I was tempted and I said Ok. The idea was to recreate the story The Blood Son . the blood son is about a little boy who want to be a vampire and everyone else is scared of him because of that. but instead of a boy it has to be a girl and she can be whatever age you want. But for some reason I dont like this idea.I feel like im not going to do good with this story plot.Should I just keep it and write something thats not full of my potential or should I do another story and show it to him tomorrow and tell him I couldnt write anything? Also anyone has any ideas for scary story ideas?

You will impress him if you stick with this story. Just start writing it no matter how bad you feel. You have to try first before giving up. Why don't you just start with the character, a girl. What's her name? What's her age? Where's she from? What are her problems at school? I'll try something, but don't copy it, work from it. Reinvent it if you must.

Listen to horror based music e.g. M.J Thriller, Rhianna Disturbia and Shakira She wolf, to set the scenes, pick bits of the song out of it.

The emotions come from the heart.

Use typical conventions of horror e.g. Blonde Girl= Victim, Rocking chair= ghost,
