My marine boyfriend is talking like a killer now

okay ima ask again see if I can get more advice! my boyfriend is in the marines...hes been acting different every now and then...to the point where I dont even recognize him anymore..he talks like a killer I guess you can say..and says things that scare me and it hurts me to see him like that...what can I do?

I know how you feel my boyfriend is in the national guard, but hes hasn't left yet for training. they say that going through what he went through can change a life which it can, once he is away from all of the commotion of the marines he will return to himself.

My boyfriend of over 2 years left me right before going into the marines bootcamp. I did however get a letter asking me to come to graduation and that he can't wait to see me. I have been talking to others about how they change when they become marines. (the attitude, acting like a hardass). I was told it is all about the training and getting them prepared to be tough,be proud. I hope some day that we can get back together again. But I think we need to undestand and put ourselves where they are in a world of protecting the country, being tough and yes killing others. My nephew was in the arny and he was the same way when I saw him. But he is married and fine now. So just hope that he gets over it when he is done and just try to understand what he is and was being taught.

I have no idea what he's going to be like when he gets back. I would say talk to him about and theres a chance he doesnt even see what he's doing and not know. he might like if you tell him how he comes off sometimes and it scares you.

I don't know what it's like to be in the marines or anything like that, but maybe something tramatizing happened to him, or maybe just being in the marines does that to people. Just try to confort him and ask him what's wrong. Communication is the key!

my boyfriend is also in the Marines. He's been in for 2 years & is currently deployed to Iraq for 14 months.

the best advice that I can give is for you to continue supporting. my boyfriend was the same way once he became a Marines, but they act that way because they are trained the hardest- they are one of the few & the proud.

but support & communication are the key. though the life of a Marine girlfriend is tough, it is SOOO well worth the wait- we're the few, the strongest, the Marine girls.
