try to find after school things to do. Or trying joining a sport, anything that will kept you away from your mom for a while. You can also find a hobby, somthing you could do in your room. Anything to kept your mind off fighting with your mom. Try spending less time near her.

well, this is my honest advice:
when I used to feel depressed, I was like dude, I dont care what you do, I just dont want to be like this anymore I needed encouragement. and if you set up a profile on lifespace.cc they will encourage you, talk to you, and just be there for you. I have a profile on there too. it would be awesome if you got one. just no nasty pics or cussing. lol 
I totally agree with la16love, what you could also do , is tell your mother that you have different school projects and that you have to go over to those friend's homes to do them, like right after school, and stay there as long as possible and then when you come back home, you're really tired and you don't have to see her that much. Hope it helps!!
