It really depends on your label if you have one, (preppy, goth/punk, dancer, even though many people dont support labels,) but I think the clothes that really stand out are the original ones. If you look good in it, wear it! Thats what I do, lol! I get a lot of compliments when I look great and original, best of luck! And also, midnight blue is in style right now. Especially the dresses.
