What if my friend is stopping me from being popular?

Well I have a close friend hailee. shes been my bff since 3-5th grade but now that im in 8th we've shes been more emmbarrasing. because almost everybody thinks shes weird and doesnt like her. and a lot of people say that I would be more popular if stoped...

hanging around w/ her. I mean shes so emmbsarresing. shes always really hyper and always shout instead of just talking. if you tell her a secrent she'll just almost yell it. and sometimes she'll just tap me and say hey wutz up like a million times and she wont shut up. and hailee will just do little embarrasing thing like that even worse. and when I try 2 talk to my crush hailee will just come up and interrupt us and say something random and stupid. and our other bff, sallie, agrees. at the end of this yeah shes moving. I no I should be sad but I feel reliefed. but im not sure if I can wait that long. shes in all of my classes so she emmbarreses me all day. I dont want to tell her how she acts because she may get angry or get upset. I dont want 2 be mean because shess my friend but since I hang around her less people talk 2 me. I just need 2 know what 2 do because we cant take it anymore!!! help!!!

I'm that way too! Don't worry, she's just being playful. Try to understand her. People like that are always misunderstood and disliked, and I always find it a little depressing.

She's moving away, so be nice to her!!! It may seem impossible, but the time will go by quicker than you think. You will never regret being kind, but you will regret hurting someone. If you absolutely must, talk nicely to her about toning it down a little, but it would be really good of you to just stick it out. Good luck!

I think dropping a friend because it will 'make you more popular' is pretty low. But if you want her behavior to change, you'll HAVE to talk to her.
