Asked by helovesher over 2 years ago, 11 answers.

Is this site just for teens and high school age kids? Im 33 and having problems with my girlfriend but I dont want to be here and seem like the OLD CREEPY GUY hanging around a bunch of younger people.

Nope, it's not exclusively for teens and high school kids. They just seem to frequent here more often. So ask away!

Questions from adults with adult problems are refreshing. So please, ask away! I just can't listen to teen problems without trying to help. There's a lot of teens here, but plenty of adults! I'm 32.

it wont be creepy i find helping older people fun cause they acuttaly listen for pnce and i find it funny that a 13 year old could give advice to an adult cause there suppused to know everthing so they say but when they come on here it gives us a chance to help and teach them and give them answers for once so ask away

Perhaps half of the advisors are about that age, give or take a few years. Myself (I'm one of the co-founders) and my wife (also a co-founder of this site) are 30...well, I'll be 30 at the end of the month happy

The other co-founder of the site is 42. We didn't aim for teens...however it seems like teens are perhaps more actively using this site, I think.

What we expect from everybody, irregardless of age, is a certain ability to act mature...that doesn't come naturally to some unfortunately, and there are people who are 50 and act less mature (online) than some 14 year olds.

If there's anything you need or have suggestions, comments, etc, please feel free to let us know - it's how we improve our site most of the time, by collecting feedback from people who use it.

I'm older than you are, so ask away. The kids on here need some more mature advice sometimes. It's scary.

Everyone is welcome, as long as your motives are to help and be a friend and not try to pick up a date. I'm 50 and just put a steak of purple in my hair to celebrate. I think of this site as the place you can ask questions without being judged or made fun of, so weldome and ask away!!!

No way... I'm fairly new here, but know a fair number of people from Y!A. And I don't know about them all, but I think most of them are middle-aged. I know at least two of them are grandmothers... how awesome is that!
The teens do seem to be the most prevalent age group, but certainly not the only one. And I know I, personally, would love to hear any questions you have!

I have no idea if anyone will read this... but I thought I would answer anyway happy
