Just be yourself. Don't fall into a bucket of perfume, and definitely don't go gushing all over him. Those can be HUGE turn-offs.
I can tell you from my years of experience that that harder you try to get who you want, the less likely it will ever happen. Love sneaks up on you when you least expect it. I wasn't looking for love, but it happened--and I've been happily married to my girl for nearly 14 years now. (I've been with her for 16, though!)
