Actually, the right age would be twenty-one. You still have eight years to go, buddy.

do it when your ready. but think long and hard about what the outcome is going to be. I would suggest that it only be with a boy that you love and ONLY when you are ready, regardless of age.

My god. When you have to think long and hard about what the outcome is going to be, it's a sign that you are so not ready, regardless of age.

I'll admit, I'm an old fogie, and that in my opinion 13-15 is too young. What you do have to do though is use protection -condoms- to guard against STD's and pregnancy. If you can't bring yourself to talk about this with your partner, then it doesn't matter what your age is ... you are too young.

If you want my HONEST opinion, then here it is.
I think you're WAY too young to even CONSIDER having sex.
Think of the responsibility you would have to take on, and think of the consequences. But first, think about wheather or not you're REALLY ready for it.
And at age 13 you CAN;T be.
You;'re just too young. Wait a couple of years.

you think long and hard about the outcome so that you know if your ready or not. duh. you could be ready but still have tons of anxiety. Im just saying that it is a special thing and I think that it would be wise to understand it to the best of your ability before you do it. besides you WOULD think long and hard about it regardless of age, or if your ready or not because of the fact that it is such a big decision.

If you have to think long and hard about the outcome, it's a sign that you're still a kid. If you still have tons of anxiety, it's a sign that you're not ready. If you think that sex is a special thing and it's only okay as long as you love him, you're probably a teenage girl. And if you actually think having sex is such a big decision... you're all of the above.

You kids should all grow up first before want to do any kind of adult activities. Sex comes after love - emotionally MATURE love.

well then I guess we are all still kids in some sense because I have never heard of someone having sex without even having one single thought before doing it. And no that is not true at all. Many people can have some form of anxiety before a life changing decision, and in fact most people do. And yes I and many other people would say that sex is a special thing and yes I do think that it would be alright if you love the guy, or do you think that you shouldnt be in love with the man? Why yes I happen to be a teenage girl if you read my profile. And yes I do think that sex is a big decision so...according to you, that does make me all of the above.

And us kids will always do what we want...regardless of what you adults have to say about it. So why not educate kids in the activity so that they can participate in adult activities with saftey backing them up. And no duh hun, a lot of kids feel that they are ready for sex or are at least interested in it because they feel like they are in love...and maybe they are? who knows. But it is not my nor your decision to say if that is true or not.

oh and pray tell, how old are you Xiigzag?? I dont see your age nor a photo. All that is shown is a bunch of cartoon pictures...im the kid?? right. I think that its time for you to start acting your age and to stop putting people down on personal issues when all they are asking for is help. And other people down on their opinions!! thats what makes us humble babe, thats what makes us humble.

I have never heard of someone having sex without even having one single thought before doing it.

That would be because... you've heard only from teenagers. Or maybe from characters on TV. Sex is not a life-changing decision as you make it sound to be. If you are, then like I said, you're probably TOO young.

I and many other people would say that sex is a special thing

Most girls and very few few FEW guys.

And 'us kids' will always do what we want

I'm not surprised, especially if you happen to be kids between 14 and 18. That's just the age range in which you are most rebellious and annoying. That's why I prefer to deal with middle school kids.

So why not educate 'kids' in the activity so that they can participate in 'adult activities' with saftey backing them up.

We could. Or maybe, you could start listening to your elders. We're not the ones pulling opinions out of our asses; we've formed them over time based on knowledge and experiences. We (think parents and teachers) try to educate you all the time on the consequences of having sex as a kid so you WOULDN'T have to deal with them, but just like a typical teenager, you always have selective hearing and argue that you're different, you're mature, your love is real, we don't know anything, the time it's a-changin', etc. etc. Results? Depression, suicide, pregnancy, and a bunch of random plain idiocies like myspace-hacking and cat fights.

Which reminds me: general education is a tad bit more important than sex education. Go teach yourself common sense - THEN ask us sex-related questions if you still need help.

All of the reasonable people here would agree that 13-15 is too young for sex. If they're not saying OMG you're too young to someone from the 16-18 age group, it's usually because they lost their virginity around that time and can't afford to say it. However, 16-18 is still too young - it's a gosh-given fact. I picked the number 21 because that's when people typically have fully-developed brain and know exactly what they're doing - which is necessary especially in our type of society. Of course some individuals mature earlier or later, but for now 21 it is..

My god, it's not like our life span is getting any shorter. Why is it so hard to wait till then?

oh im sorry...your right. There are people who dont give a second thought to loosing their virginity. And it is a big decision because your virginity is one of the most private things that a person has and can give.

it is a special thing...and you obviously dont know too many good guys

its the way of life hun, get over it.

these opinions are not pulled out of our asses..these are personal thoughts that you happen to not agree with which is fine because I dont agree with yours..but...at least I can be the mature one about it and not say too rude of comments. I happen to dissagree with just about everything you have to say...but I respect that that is your opinion even tho I do not agree with it.

we are only human..and humans have certain instincts and teenage to twentys is when peoples hormones are the most active...its a scientific-fact.
