Heaven? hell? im so confused

when you sin why are you forgiven? I know god is loving towards everyone but...why? if everyone is forgiven then why would someone like hitler go to hell? Will hell ever overflow? Is there enough room in heaevn? What if someone doesnt even know about...

god, would they go to hell? what is pergatory? I want your opinoins for these questions, help me understand and show me your views on these matters

Very heavy thoughts my dear, it really depends on your religious views, mine quite likely differ from yours tremendously, some Christian churches preach fear, others preach hatred, still others preach that Jesus was a mushroom (no word of a lie as funny as it may seem) So there is no real answer that I can tell you, only what I believe to be true.

James chapter one verse five states If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Sounds a bit like Shakespeare huh? What it means is you need to pray and ask God for answers, think about the questions, and search out answers you are comfortable with, God will answer your prayers, and he won't punish you or hold it against you for asking him anything. Just have faith.

In my religious belief, there are two purposes to life to gain a mortal body and to learn and to grow from those experiences, God gave us the freedom to choose and through Christs atonement (ordeal in the garden and dying on the cross) can all sins be forgiven but we must still do our part and repent.

As for heaven and hell, my religious belief holds that we do not go to either right away but rather to what some would call purgatory to await Gods judgment which will come later, while there they have the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and accept it. There is a scripture that refers to Celestial Glories one being like the Sun, one like the Moon, and the last like the stars which might suggest different levels of heaven. The truth is nobody knows for certain and nobody has ever come back and told me what happens when we shuffle off this mortal coil (There's that Shakespeare again) So why not explore what a few churches believe and attend the one you feel most closely reflects what you believe and are comfortable with.

Its pretty stupid in my opinion. It goes, that if we dont believe in god and stuff like that hes gunna send us strait 2 hell but... if he was that understanding and caring wud he still send people like us, who are confused and dunno what to believe to hell? thats a pretty unfair deal if you ask me ae :/

I think the reason your forgiven is because god made us with many imperfections... and he understands that we are going to make mistakes and he's already prepared to forgive us... what I dont understand is why wouldnt he just make us all perfect?

ok so if god was never introduced to a person they will go to heaven its kinda like if a baby died very young because the baby didn't know any better the baby shall go to heaven so who ever this person would be would have to be very secluded from the world yes he is loving but it is your choice to accept him and if someone doesn't you can guess what happens get my drift lol I have no idea what pergatory is anyways so I cant really help on that lol hope I helped

I am not christian, but I use to be oddly enough. Back then I believed, your forgiven because god let his son die for to do just that forget us. He loves every one because he made us. every one is forgaven if they ask for it so he could have gone to heaven (ya I really dont get that xD) I think but I am not sure there is something special for people that dont know but some teach that ya they just go to hell if they dont know after a set age, I do not think ether can really overflow because only spirits go there then it would be a place almost with out matter as we know it, I do not know that word in this context.

after I was older and uh a few other things happened I thought about those same things and came to, if that all is true is really infair, it makes no since and if that is true god is one of the most unfair things ever not worthy of the praises he is given. But if other people want to praise them more power to them.

Short answer, heaven and hell are in another dimension from our own. God is loving towards everyone because he created everyone, people such as myself sin meaning we miss the point, falling short of gods standards and for that we become condemned by our actions therefore we need gods forgiveness, we have the ability to ask and recieve forgiveness if we sincerely ask for it. If someone didn't even even know about Jesus or never heard of gods love then I don't know how god will judge them but in his infinite goodness and perfect judgement, he will be fair but that I don't know.

lol I remember on family guy, when meg turns christian they start a book burning and one of the books they burn is called grade 1 logic or somthing.. and that makes such a good point because christianity is really flawed. You can't really believe 100% that everything in the bibles true. Nobody really does and if christianity is based on the bible then... well. =/

When we sin we are not forgiven unless we meet two criteria. One is to accept Jesus Christ as our savior and two is to repent for the sins.

Everyone are not forgiven. Only those who meet the two criteria I already mentioned are forgiven. Those who are not forgiven go to hell.

People go the Hell because of their sins not because of their lack of knowledge of God.

God does not send any one to Hell. Everyone by default now go to hell because he/she sins. On the contrary God is only trying to save people from hell.

Forgiveness involves repentance. Anyone who doesn't follow the Bible and live like Jesus afterwards has nothing to do with God, no matter what they claim. It's in I John and a hundred other places. For example, do you think the prostitutes, swindling tax gatherers and genocidal murderer (Paul) kept doing what they did after coming to Jesus? That'd make no sense.

WRONG. God is omnipotent, and omnipresent. He KNEW man would sin, he made them anyway. And by YOUR definition of Christianity, he's holding US responsible for HIS mistake. You don't understand what 'perfection' means. Just as you don't understand God OR your own religion, as always...

The LORD made us perfect. But the point to note is that He made us with a FREE WILL.

That is what people just don't understand in the whole creation. You do have a free will. That means you are given the freedom to choose. We all need to understand the free will. What would you be if you did not have a free will? Robots. If you need to have a free will then that means you should not be pre-programmed with what is right but you should learn it as you and make free choices based on your knowledge. So God did make us perfect. But the first man made some wrong choices and sinned. Hence mankind was corrupted and the perfectness is now gone.

Now to the next point of making man incapable of sin. That can be only done by removing your free will. You then would not be human beings.

What YOU don't understand is that free will DENOTES imperfection, so does individuality. God made us so that we sin long before we even know what sin is. We've also been biologically flawed since the beginning of what YOU consider history. There WAS nothing nor IS nothing perfect about humanity, that's just your bloated sense of self-importance talking...

Heaven and hell are human creations. It all lies within you. sin is one big business buzzword to control humans. They make you feel guilty and then make you repent and will control you.

You are not a sinner.

Muslims believe that both Hell and Heaven are existent now, and are two actual abodes.

Hell is where a sinful person will be punished and Heaven is where a pious person will be rewarded

As for sins, every sin is punishable unless God decides to forgive.

One thing to keep in mind. God is FAR more than ANY religion. Imagine in yor life the most understanding person you know. More understanding is your unknown creator. Your creator knows us best by our hearts. The kingdom of God is inside of you and all around you. Without getting into cosmic detail,, is there a Hell? is it just eternal lonliness? Is the bible written so that simple humans could understand because our creator is far to complex fr us to even comunicate with? *in steps Jesus that can comunicate with us simpletons and our creator*
People that do not know God exists, well ask yourself, God knows better tha we do what kind of being God wants to spend eternity with. God would know the heart of that baby just born and dies. God kows the heart of the person that is never intorduced to God.
Itinary is right. Your not a sinner, unless you like to hurt others.
But imagine the universe that you know, as it goes on forever. Imagine a place so complex that you have to be taught by Jesus how to unerstand it. Imagine it on top of a place that goes on forever. No one really know but an idea to ponder perhaps is this..
You live in a 3 dimentional body, an cant see anything but 3 dimentions, Imagine your inner being having that kind of restriction to places other than the dimention directly on top of this one. In time the stars will all burn out, thats physics. What is left if you can only see what is here and nothing else?
What if when you died and Jesus came to you and literally showed you the way to God?

That should be enough to keep your brain going for a while.
