Headphones

I am looking for a excellent pair of headphones for a Sony Walkman MP3 Player.
What would you recommend and why?
I want headphones that are good quality , block out sound , music plays clear and headphones that will last.

I know this probably sounds odd but my old headphones that cost £10 broke and I was in the supermarket at the time so I bought some of the cheap home brand ones from there. That was about 8 months ago and the headphones are still in pretty much perfect condition, apart fromt he marks where the dog tried to eat them. They were the £2 ones from Tesco. They block out most sound (unless an aeroplane or something goes over really low) and the music was clear before the dog got hold of them. Might be worth a try for £2 if you're in the UK.
