Why doesn't motrin work for me?

ok I get migranes (sorry if I spelled that wrong, I'm haveing one now) and well motrin doesn't work on me, and im wondering why? I always have motrin when I'm sick and it use to work when I got headaches but now it doesn't, my doctor said try to use two...

motrin pills instead of one, I tried it and it didnt help. should I take something stonger??? they really hurt and sometimes they start to hurt my eyes. I have no idea what to do

The best treatment varies from one person to another.

I get migraines too and I've tried everything you can imagine. Usually I go down a list:

-The drug that works best for me is Advil Extra Strength Migraine Relief.
-If that doesn't work, I try to figure out what I've eaten that day (sometimes the headaches are brought on by not eating properly).
-I then make sure I've had enough to drink and I'm not dehydrated.
-If I still can't get it to go away, I drink a bottle of Coca Cola (it can't be anything but Coke - something in it that gets rid of my headaches)
- If that still doesn't work, then it's a trip to the ER for a shot...a last resort, but undeniably the ultimate migraine-killer.

As stated before, though, you should talk to your doctor about this - finding out what causes them in the first place could dramatically decrease the occurrence of them.
