Asked by missymo1029 over 6 years ago, 3 answers.

Well My boyfriend and I have been together since January and it#039;s the first relationship i#039;ve had in a long time. I#039;ve dated alot but never found anyone I wanted to be with until him. He was a cop in NYC but just got accepted into a new...

precint about an hour away.Until he graduates from the police academy he is away 5 days a week and I only see him on the weekends. He always asks me if i am hooking up or meeting anyone. I can only talk to him at 5:30 everyday and I don#039;t have a cell phone so I am home waiting for his call every day. Last night we talked as usual then I went with a friend of mine to pick up some of her things I wasn#039;t home when he called at 9:30 and nobody knew where I went he snuck the phone and called me started screaming at me quot;why wasn#039;t I homequot; quot;you are my only connection to the outside world and you don#039;t even carequot; quot;I was worried about you all morningquot; this is the big one quot; What is the big secret that nobody knew where u werequot; then he was like you don#039;t even care that I am locked up here. Then hung up on me, he has never hung up on me before. I love him so much but I am always being accused of quot;love connectionsquot;.People always say when someone accuses u of cheating they are usually cheating themselves is this true or is he just possesive and jealous and should i continue?

Do not be suprised that a police officer is insecure, overly suspicious, and controlling. Think about why he likes/chose his profession? Many fellow officers do evolve beyond the habits you described. Maturity may or may not be in the future with this one. Here are the dice- roll them. He is like this now is it going to change?

My boyfriend is a cop too... and acts the same way. Oh man... are we dating the same person? If you find some good advice... or just want to talk, please reply... or email me.

i go through the same thing with my boyfriend and we have been together 4yrs. i think that he may be the one cheating sometimes but then i think about where he is coming from and i realize that he is just over protective he know that i am attractive and i could probably get any guy i wanted and thast scares him. my advice to you is to tell him how that makes you feel and that you will never betray him. if he continues then you may have to let him go his seperate way cuz you doin't deserve to keep being treated tht way!! GOOD LUCK!!
