I found out after I had kids that there is a vaccine now...they both got it, I'm not sure if it's required or not in California but I *think* it is.
When I had chickenpox as a child, I got really sick, had a very high fever for 2 weeks, could barely eat and lost about 10 pounds of muscle. I was already too skinny, so it took a long time to recover, physically. Terrible disease and I'm very glad there is a vaccine.
yep ... I had it when I was like 2 I am so glad I cant rember what it was like lol
yeah I got it when I was young, horribly uncomfortable...
get your kids vaccinated
the fever, the itching, the potential for scars. get them vaccinated but remember the vaccine is not for all children, some have other health problems and they should not be vaccinated.
I had it when I was like 8.. I felt left out becos I didn't go to school with my mates that was the only part I can remember
My daughter is three and the doctor recommended giving her the vaccine when she was a few months old. Hopefully, she will be protected from getting it.
I had it when I was 4 it sucks.Although my parents felt bad and got me w/ev I wanted or needed.

Have you ever had chickenpox?
I have and it was awful. My four older children have and their older but my youngest daughter is three and hasn't caught it yet.
