Hatori from furuba

I have a question that is killing me. How did a guy like hatori end up being best friends with the biggest idiots ayame and shigure I mean really!?!?

Rofl! All being in the Sohma family and growing up together I guess with having the curse they were more comfortable being friends with eachother than with an outsider ^_^ Sometime even Hatori himself wonders how he is best friends with them lol
