If it hurts ONLY when you're on top, there might be a problem.
If it hurts in every position, it's more likely you're too dry, or you're feeling uncomfortable and you're not ready for sex.

For the first time, It will hurt a little no matter what. If you go few and far between sex-it will also hurt. If it still hurts try easing it.

Maybe his pen*s is hitting your wall, this just means that he is too long for your body, try having him lower his hips or sit in a sittting position and then get on top.
