Has humanity ceased to evolve??

I am slowly losing faith in mankind, and our purpose as a species. Have we become so shallow and hateful that we have forsaken ourselves to bickering over WEIGHT and RELIGION and SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS? Have we stopped evolving?

Does anyone else feel like they are watching the rest of the world waste time? Have we lost MEANING???

well, there's always Mars.most species purpose is to have babies and survive. we did that. maybe we are the first species to get that far in success and not sure where to go after that. ask the dali lama. peace would be a goal. or learning to meld with the earth and create our own energy internally.

Used to feel that way - then I found meaning in the Bible.

Don't be so cynical. Those losers who worry about all that crap are just dumb, after all, they're the one's worrying, there's no reason for you to worry about them worrying, just be glad your not so dumb as to worry about that crap like it's the end of the world.

As for ceasing to evolve, what you actually asked didn't have much to do with evolution at all. But it takes forever to notice the changes in evolution taking place. Someone told me we're losing our pinky fingers since we hardly use them, and I took a look at mine and they're almost like an inch shorter than my ring fingers. All I can say is we should start pinky swearing more often, because I don't know about you, but I like my pinkies.

I also saw a thing that was talking about how if we lived in outer space with no gravity our legs would evolve to become smaller due to lack of constant use. I think we've probably evolved to fulfill how we need to be in our current ways of life here on Earth, but if there was a change in environment, such as zero gravity, we'd start adapting.

But yeah, you were talking about people being lame and shallow, and I agree, there are a lot of lame shallow people out there. I blame the bits of media that promote all that superficial bullcrap. But at least we're fortunate enough to know better.
