You do realize that you can contact the school? Get statistics on their average inbound GPA? Ask them about what criteria they give preference to (eg, people who have family that went there, etc)?
And, at you age (freshman in high school, right?) you should be able to get plenty of help...guidance counselors, do some reading...when I applied for colleges, I got information packets from at least a dozen schools.
