Hardness and pregnancy

Asked by uniquekiki 9 months ago, 1 answer.

Question: Okay, I have heard pregnant people refer to hardness in their stomach or whatnot. Can someone describe it? What general area is it in and how does it feel? Also, around when does it show up? Thank you.

Hardness can mean the baby's head is right under their hand and their stomach feels hard there. It can also refer to Braxton-Hicks contractions that feel like a tightening, then relaxing. they usually start around 30 weeks though that varies a lot between women. That is your body gearing up for labor, though they are usually painless.
