Should I buy a hamster?

Should I buy a hamster ??if yes what kind ??

Hamsters are awesome little buddies. Do you have cats? If so you should probably not get a hamster. Things that you should consider before buying a hamster is whether or not you will have time to play with it, what other pets you own, etc. Also anytime I get a caged animal I usually buy two so that even if I can't always play with them they will have a buddy to play with. For instance, I have two ferrets. So this way if I'm too busy or too ill to play with them then they have each other to play with. I personally like the dwarf hamsters.

Be careful though, you usually can't keep two male hamsters together because they will fight.
And if you have two male and females then you might get some baby hamsters

Teddy Bear hamsters are lone rodents. You have to keep them separate.

Do you have the time and patience to clean their cage every single week. Change their water daily, feed them, play with them, keep them healthy. Hamsters last usually around 3 years.

Those are just a few things to consider.

I don't know. I had a couple hamsters but I cud never play with them since they are mostly night animals, also they can bite sometimes wich will startle u! I wud suggest getting a bunny! =] they are fluffy and soft and last longer. I had a punny for like 9 years and he was awesome. and my sis has one that she treats like a dog, she just lets it hop all around her room. bunnies are also smart! they go to the bathroom in one side of there cage! so its easy to clean! my vtote is for a buny!

I never had a hamster but in 6th grade our teacher got us a hamster as a class pet. it was cool! I think you should!! I dont know what kind there are... =)
