Hair dye questions...

So I want to dye my hair black, but my mom says it is really bad for your hair. is it worse for your hair then dying it any other color? also, I want purple highlights, but is that too much?

if you go dark it is quite hard to go light again the purple highlights will wash out evenntually if you are wanting bright purple you will have to prelighten your hair again to a blonde then put the purple over hope this helps

Lol dying your hair black is like dying it any other colour... as far as I know bleaching your hair damages it the most...

well if you dye it black it depends on what kind of purple... it may not show up as good as you want it to...

But as for it being too much I don't think so... but then again I have like 6ish colours in my hair right now =P hahaaa

Black isn't any worse for your hair than any other color... it's just very hard to lighten it in the future without severely damaging your hair.

I used to be blonde, then I went to black with red highlights then eventually went all black.

Then I tried to lighten it again... it was a disaster.

Now I'm at a dark brown which I love.

For such a drastic color change you should go to a professional hair stylist.
