How to fix this hair disaster?

Asked by kayzer about 1 year ago, 9 answers.

I decided to colour my hair with a blonde belle colour last saturday and its turned bright yellow and orange!! Yuk!! I've braved facing everyone at work this week but feel like crying as the salon said the strand test showed my hair was too damaged to do...

anything with it. It looks awful, I've burnt my head by leaving the colour on for too long and have plenty scabs which randomly fall onto my works pc, Yuk Yuk Yuk!! I'm treating it daily with a hair mask and putting leave - in conditioner on every night. I've baught Jerome Russell's B blonde cool chick toner but am too scared to use it. Help someone!! I don't like having bright yellow and orange hair!

I wouldn't suggest dying your hair and scalped are damaged. You might want to try using a temporary hair color that washes out. This is a name of one brand temporary hair color. Fanci-Full Color Refreshing Rinse

wait until your scalp heals then use the toner. toner is less damaging than dye and bleach so it wont be as bad. then if its still an aweful colour dye it darker on e solid colour and grow out the dead parts

well id say spend as much time repairing your hair as you can...with the leave in conditioner and that...then perhaps dye it back to its nautural colour or whatever colour you hair already is...its going to take a long time to strangthen your hair more though but kepp at it!...ther are also heaps of ways you could style your hair differently to make it less noticable!

alright, this happened to me about a week ago.

use herbbal essences hello hydration conditioner.
put it in your hair, and put a hower cap on your head.

keep it there ALL NIGHT.
wash it out in the morning.

now go to sallys beauty supply,
and ask them for a lightner with a BLUE base.

that sounds weird, but it isnt.

your hair turned orange because of the gold and red bases in the dye
to counteract that, you will need to use something with a blue base.

I promise your hair WILL NOT turn blue.
if you do this about twice...

it will be blonde.

KEEP CONDITIONING!

salons always say its too damaged.
but as long as you keep conditioning, you will be fine

Hi there, I've been in the same boat but please do not do anything until your scalp clears up!! The toner will not help you unless you've reached the desired lightness you want first, so when your scalp has cleared up, get a pre-lightener or lightener, put it on and leave until your hair is very light, wash off completely then towel dry, now.. shampoo in the toner and do it exactly the way it says on the bottle, I have dark hair, with red highlights, I'm platinum normally but last night I used the cool chick toner, I'm now a golden blonde! so definately do this, its less harsher than bleach xx

I just had the orange horror happen to me and the toner does work. Just wash your hair like normal and then towel dry and add the toner. It will just wash out with shampoo. It has already helped me and it actually feels more conditioned than it did. My hair is also a ton less brassy, I won't be afraid to go to work tomorrow.
