I am sick of having long hair and I want some tips on cutting my hair shorter. Are there any places I can see good pictures of short hair styles? Any ideas from you all?

I had the same problem. I went to my aunt's hair studio and ended up getting a big change. I started off with it pretty much straight across the back and all the same length. I took off enough to donate my hair (don't be afraid to do that - it's really cool). My new hair style is a little past my shoulder. The underlayer is longer than the top,so I can kind of flip it out. As for the top, I can make that flip if I want it to, also. My bangs are different lengths that curve around my face. {All my pictures are old, so none show this}

I'm not sure if this can exactly put a picture in your head, but I like the way my hair looks now. Don't be scared to ask the stylist what types of cuts would compliment your face. You can also look around member pictures and if you see a style you like, I'd guess that most people here would be pleased to talk to you about their style.

This is just an idea. Good luck!

since you looking thin, you try the japanese cut. its pretty cool, or shaggy layer perhaps, these are best for straight hairs.

If your afraid to get loads chopped off at once you could try gradual layers.

I agree with above, layers are great I love them. You could also experiment with getting a fringe, I always thought a fringe wouldn't suit me but I got one and I love it! I guess it depends on how long you're prepared to spend on your hair. If you have some time you can get a cut which requires some styling. It also depends on your hair type and whether you want to blow dry, straighten or curl it. Hairdressers can help you with this - just ask!
