What color should i dye my hair now?

me Asked by juniorsgirls over 2 years ago, 2 answers.

Hello, my name is jessie. i am 19. naturally my hair is a drty blonde color.my hair is really thin, like baby fine. i was into this thing where i kept that color, and added big mahogony highlights with lght blone highlights, layered it shorter, cut my bangs...

to prob my cheeks. i loved it. but thats all i was doing and ppl were getting bored,me too. so my friend asked to dye my hair, with those colors fading with box color. i was so scared.lol never used box color b 4. but it was cheaper,so i let her dye it this intense auburn color. at first i didnt like it. it was a purplish/redish color, but as i washed it more and more it was more reddish auburn. grew on me. but my hair grew out long,so i got it layered short again w my bangs to my cheeks again. now its like a faded red/blonde color. i have no idea what color to dye it now. not used to this stuff.lol bunch of suggestions for black or drk brown, but i dunno. then they think i should grow it out.its hard bc i dunno my skin color other then white w tan,lol im 5'4 with hazel eyes. Please Help!!!

Stop dying it for like a year or two. If you keep dying it your hair will be come thinner and break off easier. My mom had thick hair, but she's been dying if since she was 13, my age, and it's damaged her hair big time. She finally decided last month, she's 37, to stop dying her hair. That's 24 years of dying her hair and it made it thin and it gets split ends really easily. I dye my hair too and have since I was in fifth grade, but I took a break in 5-7th grade year and my hair has gotten thicker and is going back to how it was when it was natural, even though I'm dying it again. So take a break for a bit and think about what YOU want to do, not what everyone else thinks you should do. What you think is good for you will give you confidence boost. ^_^ I also recommend getting temporary dye before you dye it with permenant so then you can see what it looks like and if you like it or not.

Hope I could be of some help! ^___^

thanks, ill prob take ur word for the temporary dye. dunno, dye usually stays in my hair for quite a while. ive only dyed it all 1 color,i time. when my hair was longer it would knot up. but then i started cutting it shorter to add some body to it,layered it,and box dyed it. it actually has been really soft and fine. best it's been. ne idea as to why the dye would of made it much softer then usual? i dont dye my hair all the time, b 4 just had the foil highlights with my reg hair color, then dyed it that intense auburn color i time with box dye. went quite well, but ur right i dunt wanna fry my hair either.
