Why do guys lie to girls about little things?

why do you guys lie to girls about little things like hanging out with a certain person?

That's not exactly true. Not all guys lie with certain people, nor do all guys lie in general.

I'm the kinda person who doesn't keep personal secrets about himself away from anyone. In other words, a guy can lie, but some won't.

a lot of people, boy or girl, lie when they are around certain people just to agree with that person, but still try to maintain a healthy relationship with the person they were talking about. Some things are also said just 'because' and they sometimes don't hold any real value or truth.

If someone is lying about who they are hanging out with it is because they feel that their partner would not approve of it. So the question goes further if they know they do not approve why do it or why be with someone who tries to control who they hang out with. Like gothik stated not everyone will lie about this but will be honest about their friends to their partner so they both can decide if they wish to go on with their relationship.
