First off, gun control is not about banning guns. It is about preventing them from getting into the wrong hands. If you are a law-abiding citizen, there should be no reason for you to have to get a gun in a hurry, like you can at gun shows. You should have no problem with going through a background check, and needing a license.
Should we do away with automobile control? Should we allow anyone to drive, without license, or insurance, or saftey inspections? Why should owning a lethal weapon be different?
And there is no constitutional right to individual gun ownership . That is a lie being perpetrated by the NRA.
I support the right to keep and bear arms- gun control to me is being able to place 3 shots into a circle the size of a dime at 60 or more yards.
I think gun control is stupid. If someone is going to break the law, some silly new rules and controls will do nothing to stop them. The only thing it will do is put honest and law abiding citizens at risk by 'disarming the good guys and arming the bad guys'.

Gun control only works with law abiding people so the criminal still has a gun while the law abiding man does not.
Gun Control laws will only apply to those who respect the law to begin with - Mr Criminal will acquire the gun illegally anyway - thus, the ones punished: 'law abiding citizens'.
Gun control is effective at reducing accidental shootings, but it isn't effective at reducing violent crime. Knifing crimes have skyrocketted in the UK since gun prohibition was passed. Similarly, states in the US with lenient gun policies do not have higher violent crime rates than states with stricter policies.
I'm not opposed to laws that increase gun safety, but I am opposed to laws that prohibit or seriously restrict ownership to law abiding responsible individuals. For example, a law that only allows gun sales to those who can prove they have a gun safe/lockbox might be acceptable.
Living in countries where gun ownership is quite rare (first the UK and then France) I find it scary whenever I see a gun. We only really see them at airports, on the military police, or on hunters. We still have plenty of bad people and criminals who want to do violence, and they can be pretty brutal with knives, machetes etc. But the fact that they are truly much less likely to have a gun handy does mean that we have fewer mass killings than in the US. I'm not sure why people in the US haven't noticed this...
Because they are easily manipulated by the three G's, god, guns, and gays.
I don't like gun control, but I don't hate it.
mass killings usually happen in gun free zones.,like schools. . . I have lived in Europe and I have no Idea what this person above is talking about. I feel safer in downtown Seattle then in London or Berlin.
