Is it okay to ask him if i could be a groomsman?

hi there I having a problem of asking I found out a cousin is getting married is it okay to ask him if I could be a groomman please help me out

It's a bit tacky and presumptious to ask to be in the bridal party. Bridal parties are generally made up of an equal amount of bridesmaids and groomsmen. If it's a small wedding they may each only have a best man and a maid of honor, so it's not that maybe you won't be asked because he doesn't want you in the wedding, but for other reasons. If you just found out he's getting married then give him time to ask you, if he doesn't then why would you want to be in the wedding so badly you'd put aside good manners when maybe he just doesn't like you enough to ask you ? Im not tryig to be rude, it's just a thought =)

I agree with arabfilly. Maybe instead of asking to be a groomsman you can just tell him that you'll be willing to help him with the wedding any way you can.
