very recently my friend (let's call her jennifer) called and told me that her dad died. he little sister molly just seems as if in a trance, like she's still in shock. jennifer, on the other hand, just seems to be trying to mask her sadness by acting as...

if nothing ever happened. poor molly's birthday is in a few days. they want me to be with them, but I really don't know what to do. please help.

go with them. tell her that it's ok to feel sad and you'll be a shoulder to cry on for them. after all what are friends for? just tell her you're there for her and it's ok to cry

Shame sweetheart that's very tough for someone to go threw something like that, she might just be strong for her little sister but it's gonna hit her hard REAL hard and she gonna need a friend, get your tissues ready girl, it's gonna be rough, as for molly she probably doens't realize to full affect yet but she will... just be there for them, she phoned you for a reason...
