Emo is emotionally charged punk music.
Goth is a style of rock music, noted especially for dark or ethereal tones and exaggerated mournful or dismal, lyrics.

They both originate from different types of music.
Goth is from a genre of music called Gothic Rock (mainly started by The Doors)
and Emo is from a genre of music called Emotional hardcore or Emocore

Emo is more mainstream than goth.
And emo can be used as an insult nowadays.
Labels are stupid.

The whole labels thing really needs to be dropped.
Its disrespectful and I'm getting irritated with all the label talk.
