You can make it so you get e-mail notifications when a new answer is received
http://www.funadvice.com/my/toggle_notifications
What if you've got hundreds of questions. How would you know which one was answered?
Much better is the current system where Fun Advice emails you whenever a question you are watching receives an answer.
I have my email set to Receive email every 15 minutes, so I always know when a question has a new answer.
An additional advantage of the email notification is that you can tell by the title which question has been answered so you have a choice of viewing it or not.
i hope you do not take offense,
To that that's gone before;
'Tis only that it's my two-cents,
And not one penny more. §;o)
Go to your Profile and click on the Edit My Profile link then click on Default New Answer Setting and choose the second option:
Always email me with answer notifications for questions I participate in
Then that box will be checked by default when you answer a question and you don't have to worry about forgetting to check it. You can still uncheck it if you don't want to be notified when there are more answers to that question.

But how would you know which question received an answer? You'd still have to go check your email to find out which one was answered.
Accordingly, it would be better if Fun Advice placed a symbol by your profile username ANY TME Fun Advice sent you an email notification for any of the sites functions. THAT would be a signal to go check your email.
Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
And also, too, to help you to know,
That in knowing you, many others grow!
Well, they could also put a symbol next to the question that has been answered.
Obviously it really depends on the person- I hate having to check my email just to see if someone answered my question, because I'm getting emails from facebook, myspace, deviantart... and a bunch of other website notifications, so for me, to find the most recent email from funadvice takes just as long as it would to figure out which question had been answered.

Good idea for the funadvice website.
I think it'd be a good idea if it gave you alittle notification when you're question has been answered and everytime it's been answered - Like a star on the top the webpage or something.
Because I'm always have to flick back through to check if it's...
been answered.
Anyone agree that it's a good idea?
