I was dating this good guy for five months. Things were casual, but he was consistent in his attention for me. I was having some insecurities about the relationship not moving fast enough and let him know about them. The next week he called saying we...

were romantically incompatible, but he still wanted me in his life. He ended the conversation by saying either he'd contact me or I could contact him. It's been a week and I haven't heard anything. I have learned so much from him and would really like to continue a friendship. Should I contact him? How soon is too soon?

I think you need to talk things out and find out why he thinks you are romantically incompatible.....Open communication is the key...tho it can be very hard to convese with each other unless you are comfortable. If you can't communicate face to face try to IM online it is much easier and people seem to open up more too. So yes... call him ASAP...and ask to talk about things....communication is the KEY.

You should call him now and see what he really means and talk about where to go from there
dont be to shy - or pushy and if he really is a good guy then you should be fine and get the answers you need-- but before you finish talking make sure all your questions have answers
