Did your partner used to be a good friend?

How many of you are currently in a relationship with a partner that was once a good friend or best friends? How has it turned out for you?

My boyfriend and I were absolute best friends before we started dating- we think it was the right choice for us. We wanted to build up a really close friendship before anything else happened, and it's made us stronger and closer as the time goes on. It's also great because once the fluttery beginning stage of a relationship ends- (that time when you're getting a feel for how it changes when you date someone and being all lovey dovey) - we still have a lot of feelings for and knowledge about eachother so it doesn't get boring. He and I are engaged, so I'd say it's going fantastically

My best friend and I ended up dating for a while. After we roke up we were still good friends. Its great!
