Good/Bad Idea for Tattoo?

Getting a tattoo in october for my 16th with my mom(we have the same birthday) her and I both are getting a plain crescent moon on the inside of our left wrist with a tiny heart near the inside of it. We have a reason for it, its because we’re both left-handed and we always say “I love you all the way to the moon and back again!” So I was wondering if this is a good or bad idea?

jazlovestoskate: My mom is coming with me… which means I have parents consent. sixxd: I have been sure on this for quite awhile. (since I was 13) I already know about the whole ‘job’ thing; I’ve looked everything up. Im not looking for anything like that. I want to be an interior decorator and something in advertising or the arts. as backup: runway model, and/or activist. or something with the environment. I doubt any of those jobs wouldnt allow me to work with them and if so there are bracelets I can put overtop. the tattoo size is the size of half a pinky length wise. it isnt that big.

Yeah it’s really cute! One thing though, I wouldn’t get it shaded in with black. At least not all the way anyway. If you ever wanted it removed or another tattoo to cover it, it would be very hard to do if it was solid black. Try some light shading instead.

Good luck!

I think that is awesome! What a sweet thing to do together..especially since it has such a special meaning to you both… I have a tat with all 3 of my kids name and a symbol for each one that means something special..my daughter was 16 in jan and got her nose pierced and wanted it on the same side as mine..I thought that gester was sweet…so yes, I think its a sweet and cool idea! :)

My mom and I got matching tattoos when a couple of years ago. I love my tattoos, except for 1. I have 3 now and I’m getting one more pretty soon. I say just get them where you can be able to get a respectable job; if you want one anyways. Since a lot of places won’t hire you if you have a tattoo in certain places. Mine, you can only see if I want you to. My 1 tattoo that I dislike is the one I got when I was younger, just because I wasn’t positive on what I wanted; just make sure you know what you want. But, they have a new product out called wrecking balm tattoo removal, painless and easy.

I would say yes it has meaning its not something you and a friend/boyfreind are getting its a family member but 16 isnt really the best age to get a tattoo also most places are illegally tattooing you you need to legally be 18 years old to get a tattoo because a 16 year old doesnt have the same rights/ect as an 18 year old

Answer #6

Well thats completely up to you whether you think its a good or bad idea.

I personally would do it, I think that it’s meaning and the way it looks is just uber cute. =] && it’ll be a good memory to look back on.

Also it shouldn’t make a big difference in the future when it comes to getting a job, because it’s rather small, and wouldn’t be terribly noticeable.

Answer #7

I know but really you need to be 18 because a 16 year old doesnt have the same rights as an 18 year old does

it looks like that^ but it is shaded in with black, the heart is just outlined with black and not filed with anything. and there are none of those lines or w.e around the heart.
