Gone vegetarian, protein?

boggart, my cat Asked by bluecrocs about 1 year ago, 5 answers.

before I tell my parents I'm going vegetarian, I want to know how to get protein. I can't take pills (I doubt my parents will let me.) so seriosly I can't just always eat peanut butter. does that mock meat stuff have protein in it?

first of all congrats on going on vegetarian its one of the best ways to help the environemt, animals and your overall health happy!!! anywho I also started being vegetarian and their are many many ways to get your protein! first off the number one thing you must do is take a B12 supplment that is essential. It is somthing that can only be obtained from meat or fish and you need it in your diet so that should convince the parents lol also you need to start having a lot of beans, peanuts, soy, veggie dogs and burgers as well as brown rice (white rice doesnt have protein) anouther huge thing that gives you 6 grams of protein a cup is soy milk!! I know your not vegan but its a great source, normal milk is also good but I would choose the soy wink
hope thats helps

Milk, yogurt, cheese all have protein. There are some vege burgers and soy nuggets like taste really good and have a lot of protein. Try to take some supplements like fish oil and calcium. Eat a handful of nuts. For dinner, have brown rice and beans which is a really great healthy combination. There is a Special K cereal called Protein Plus and it is very healthy and delicious. I think you will be fine! I have been vegetarian since I was seven and I have healthy muscles and bones happy
Vegetarian is the way to go!!!
Peace!
