Global warming ?

Asked by ejejej 22 days ago, 6 answers.

I've just been studying Geography GCSE and I've found out through research that the earth goes through climate change and has done for millions of years- glacials and interglacials for example the mini ice age ect. So couldn't global warming just be the...

earth warming up and cooling down degrees like it has done all of its life? I don't understand how climate change today is so dangerous when it has been happening naturaly since the earth began? Has anyone got anymore facts on it?

We can effect the climate with emitting greenhouse gases. How much this effect is and how it plays in global warming is hottly debated. The oceans are warming and sometimes we have warming periods but no real pattern have been ID.

you are correct, but man still has more effect on the earth than it realises, we are in an ice age(both poles are frozen) we are ,according to science, ment to be for thousands of years but the melting is to much and will only last for hundreds. not giving us time to addapt.

our atmosphere consists of certain green house gases such as carbon which traps in sunlight from the sun and keeps the earth warm. but due to the increasing rate of pollution these gases are inceasing rapidly and the climate is rapidly increasing .
this sudden change in the temperature . as a result the theres a rapid change in the biosphere and the climate . the earth has usually changed over millions of years so that the living organisms can adapt to the changes but the recent rise in temperature cannot be considered as a natural change of temperature asthe previous one as it is occuring because of pollution and other human activities like deforestration thus ausing a disbalance in the nature unlike the previous changes of the earth

I dont buy it. How come no one talks about the plus 4 degree temperature change that happened in the middle ages? They dont want you to know that. Well its coming out! Glbal warming will be a non issue in another decade.

There is no 100% conclusive PROOF. But there is definately correlation between gas emissions and global heat rises...and correlation normally gives a wink and a nudge in the direction of causation. So yes, the theory of interglacial and glacial periods is true, but we are still having an impact on it anyway.
