Are you an idiot, no offense. But it is a very profound problem the earth's population is facing. Because of our excess use of carbon based fuel and releasing these harmful greenhouse gasses into the air, it collects onto the upper-atmosphere and traps in sunlight, increasing the planets temperature. This leads to higher ocean temperatures which is a main cause of the increase in more destructive hurricanes and the melting of the polar ice-caps.
