Should I give up on my ex?

ok well me and my ex broke up... and she said she still wants to talk and be friends and hangout when we can but that was last tuesday she hasnt called or anything since then so should I just give up on her and move on or do you think I should still try to be friends with her

just give up and move on. the best way to get over an ex is to not hang around them all the time.

Friendships NEVER work between exes, unless theyre arent any emotional attachments. Somewhere on the road of parting ways couples feel the need to promise to stay friends -- which ultimately leads to more broken promises.

the person who does the breaking up feels like less of a bad guy by offering that sense of truce: 'I still want to remain friends'. This peace offering of friendship provides the dumper with the confort of knowing they aren't such a horrible person because they still want to be friends with their ex.

It also might be a better idea to leave things with pleasant memories of the other person, rather than drag the doomed relationship through the mud.

Unless the two of you were the best of friends before; both broke up on the same terms in a perfectly mutual breakup; both have no qualms about either of you seeing new people, and have both instilled a total honesty policy, it would be better to leave the friendship behind... along with the memories.

except for, we hang out..
every tuesday.. hes on his way here right now.

but like, just give it time.. if she calles or whatever then try the friend thing out, if not.. just remember theres plenty more fish in the sea =)

lol its funny because we just talked today like 5 mins ago lol, but she said we can still talk and that we can still hang out and she said she hopes everything works out between us and our new relationships and that she didint talk to me as much because her new boyfriend is extremely jealous of me which makes me laugh a little bit. but it looks like we can still be friends and I will try it as long as it works out in the end
