Girlfriend is like abnormally shy

I love my girlfriend to death, but she never talks and it annoys that crap out of me that I have to tell her to say bye or hey to my parents or friends. She acts so weird and we have had a talk about it before and she said she would try and I see no...

change. What do I do!? its killing me cause all I want is for her to be outgoing with the people I love the way she is with her friends and her parents.

btw her friends and family LOVE me cause im very outgoing and I am myself around them not someone else...plus we have been dating for 11 months and my parents cant stand her cause she never freaking talks

Try to be considerate of her feelings - extreme shyness is a disorder, it isn't something you can just *change*.

If you really cared about her, you would take the time to explain to your friends and family that she has this problem, so they can try to help ease her out of awkward situations.

If your family has chosen to dislike her because she is shy, then maybe it's time you stood up for her...that's your responsibility to the person you supposedly *love*.

Some people are just very shy. It takes me several months usually to be comfortable around new people to 'come out of my shell' around them. Just give her your support, and if your family doesn't like the fact she is shy, stand up for her. Tell them to back the hell off. Not everyone is extremely outgoing. It probably doesn't help her shyness that your family doesn't like the fact she is shy. I know I have troubles around new people b/c I am afraid of opening my mouth and saying something stupid.

you should talk to her, explain to her that you would like her to be more open, just try and, every so often try and have a deepish conversation.
your family shouldn't not like her b/c shes shy! im incredibly shy around people, and the parents say im shy but they don't like me b/c of it.
