How do I ask the girl out up the road, that I've never spoke to the whole 5 months shes lived here. How do I break the ice and eventually get to the stage of asking her out? Probably best say that I am a bit shy so this type of thing is a different...

You just have to get up the curage. My suggestion is to ask her out not on an official date Just ask if she would like to go do something with you. Pay for everything lovie, sorry it's a guys job lol. Then I would ask her out if you feel you have a connection :D

Don't go ask her out right away.
You need to introduce yourself and get to know each other. Ask her if she wants to hang out for a little while. Talk with her, see if you have things in common, etc. And just go from there.
